Play solo, then share a game.
On your own, place the 24 pieces around the centre piece with matching colours. Colours along the outer edges of the playing area must match too.
With other players, each piece you place must form at least one single-colour square. Play a piece when you can; otherwise, pass. When no playable pieces remain, count the squares in your colour or colours.
