THE ORIGINAL GAME

Tiles, colours, possibilities.

Created by Julien Selz in 2011, UNITED SQUARE starts with handling the tiles: assembling, finding a solution or playing with others. The POSTER extends this world into an object to display.

One square. Four colours. Find the connection.

Each tile is a square divided into four coloured triangles. To join tiles, bring matching colours together. This simple gesture opens up different possibilities: building a shape, solving a puzzle or choosing a move in a game.

The format sets the framework: check the equipment, objective and rules in the instructions for your edition.

Look, turn, try.

These images show the POSTER in use. Matching colours is part of the UNITED SQUARE concept; each format offers its own experience.

  1. Look closely

Identify the four triangles and look at the colour along each side.

  2. Turn and connect

Rotate a tile to match its colours with the neighbouring edges. Check every point of contact.

  3. Solve or play

Work towards a puzzle objective, or compare possible moves in a game using your edition’s rules.

One universe, different objects.

Choose an experience, then its rules. The contents of one box do not define every edition.
